Vietnamese Ministry

There was an influx of Vietnamese workers into Batu Pahat in 2005. Colonies of Vietnamese workers could be seen clustering around the Wawasan Industrial Area and the factories along Jalan Kluang. The Vietnamese Ministry was started in 2006 to meet the needs of the Vietnamese workers. Language classes were started by using the premise of the Sri Saga Chinese Presbyterian Church.
Then, in 2007, Vietnamese believers gathered to worship God in the Church complex of GGBP. The service started at 9.00 am and ended at 10.30 am, after which they attended English Language and Mandarin classes. About ten teachers were involved in the language programme. Throughout the week, the Vietnamese brethren study the Bible and are trained to serve in various capacities like song-leading, Bible teaching, evangelism, etc. Visitors from the States and Australia drop by to visit, have fellowship and train them. Among these converts, many lives have been transformed, hurts have been healed and relationships mended.
Praise the Lord, currently the Vietnamese Ministry continues to make disciples for Christ. At the same time, many have fulfilled their contract and left for their homeland and they commit to live lives worthy of Christ’s calling. May God and God alone be praised and exalted.
